Presentation Type

This year, Computers & Writing will host 3 types of presentations. Please review the specific nature of each to determine which is best for your work.

This year, Computers & Writing will have rooms dedicated to online and hybrid presentations to offer technical support. However, this does limit the number of online and hybrid presentations we can accept.

Panel Presentation

75 min. Traditional panels of three or more individuals. Presenters can deliver in-person, online, or as a mixture of both.

Individual Presentation

30 min. Individual presentations that run concurrently to longer panel presentations. Consider preparing a 15-20 minute presentation to allow time for discussion. Presenters can deliver in-person, or online.

Asynchronous Workshop

Workshops to be completed prior to the event with a meet up for workshop participants throughout the conference. Consider these as you would a module for an asynchronous course. Content would be available two weeks prior to the conference. Workshop members would have the opportunity to complete the workshop before, during, or after the conference. Content can be hosted and saved on the UNC secured server for less than 1 year. We will be providing more details about this as we move toward the conference date.  As this is a new format for Computers & Writing, the conference hosts would love to talk to you about ideas prior to the submission date for the conference.

Digital Poster

A no-cost option. Digital posters, mostly a PowerPoint-style with roughly 3-6 slides, will be shared throughout conference sessions. Details on screen size and best practices for our space will be available after acceptance.
