Presentation Type
This year, Computers & Writing will host 4 types of presentations. Please review the specific nature of each to determine which is best for your work.
This year, all rooms at Computers & Writing will be set up and facilitated for online and hybrid presentations.
Panel Presentation
75 min. Traditional panels of three or more individuals. Presenters can deliver in-person, online, or as a mixture of both.
Individual Presentation
30 min. Individual presentations that run concurrently to longer panel presentations. Consider preparing a 15-20 minute presentation to allow time for discussion. Presenters can deliver in-person, or online.
Asynchronous Workshop
Workshops to be completed prior to the event with a meet up for workshop participants throughout the conference. Consider these as you would a module for an asynchronous course. Content would be available two weeks prior to the conference. Workshop members would have the opportunity to complete the workshop before, during, or after the conference. We will be providing more details about this as we move toward the conference date. As this is a new format for Computers & Writing, the conference hosts would love to talk to you about ideas prior to the submission date for the conference.
Digital Poster
Digital (not printed) posters, mostly a PowerPoint-style with roughly 3-6 slides, will be shared throughout conference sessions. Details on screen size and best practices for our space will be available after acceptance.
